I don't know who all watched Good Morning America on Thursday but they did a special on Three Words. This is an audience participation programing they have been doing on the week ends for quite a while. Then on Thursday, they involved most of the country in their exercise.
People were asked to describe either their lives, hopes, dreams, their feelings, fears, joys, loves or dislikes in just three words. I have always been impressed on the week ends with some of the 3 word messages. Some were delightfully funny making me laugh, some quite poignant, some were truly profound.
I considered what might be my defining 3 words. I thought of how many times I have offered “I'VE GOT NOTHING” as an opening line for my blog.
With tongue in cheek I thought of “TODAY, NOTHING HURTS” in honor of my aging joints.
Then thinking of my lifelong passion for the rescue of stray and abused animals along with the horror of how many sweet creatures are destroyed each year, I have simply chosen,”PLEASE SPAY NEUTER.”
I am quite curious what your three words would be. One of the beauties of blogging is the education I get each post as I read your comments. We are a varied group yet often quite similar even with vastly different life experiences.
I really would love to read your 3 words.
Undeserving, yet blessed.
ReplyDeleteOoh, I like Clint's answer!
ReplyDeleteMine was "Love of family."
I guess Making Memory Moments...or

ReplyDeleteI like Clint's and Oregon Gifts of Comfort and Joy's.
ReplyDeleteI will go with "It works out".
99.9% of the stuff I worry about never comes to fruition and what does wallop me upside the head I never saw coming, so I try to remind myself to not worry about things.
Some how this one didn't make it. So sorry.

I love that section but I had never given any thought to what my three words would be. I will have to think on that one.
ReplyDeleteFocus on Good
ReplyDeleteMine would be those three words from Mother Teresa's prayer,
ReplyDelete"Do It Anyway"
These types of assignments can really stretch the mind. I think this past year, my three words would be: Living after loss.
ReplyDeleteFavored for now.
ReplyDeleteLove Clint's Answer! (No, that's not my 3 words...but it IS 3 words! Haha) Here is mine:
ReplyDeleteLOVE NEVER FAILS!
and/or
Father,Son,Spirit
With these, we can't go wrong!
Thanks Patti!
Still standing vertical; my husband's the greatest; love my cats; nothing hurts today; had food today; able to pay bills; made more art; art was good; grateful for life; not dead yet; grateful for nature; grateful for food; grateful for creativity; so much more. thanks Patti.

Retired English Teacher,
That does describe the painful year you have had to endure.
Grayquill,
And I suspect, will always be.
sweetmother,
Clint's was popular(three more words). You had two great ones also.
Husband's favorite saying is "living the dream". I think my three words would be a revised version of that- Living's the dream.

ReplyDeletetroutbirder,
ReplyDeleteWish all felt that way.
I have NOT had any trouble entering your site, my dear....You are probably correct that it is something between the other computer and yours---Or just a problem with the other person's computer.
ReplyDeleteI really need to think about my three words---Though....I always end each post with MORE TO COME...so I think these may be my three words, right there...! (lol)
Thought of another:
ReplyDeleteTRUE TO YOURSELF
I was at a loss, so I read everyone else's first.... so mine would be for now, "Miss my mom" and "Living after Loss".
ReplyDelete
