SHE HAS DONE IT AGAIN

Which boils down to "she has done nothing of interest  again."

I really have a blank space between my ears this week.  Huge writer's block.

We did have a bit of angst this past week when two couples were murdered near by in their homes and the sheriff asked us to stay inside and lock our doors.  One of those times when you think this only happens elsewhere, not in your town.  What a violent world we are living in!!  I am stunned and disheartened daily at what we humans are capable of.  Perhaps that is what has shocked my head empty. My brain is hiding.

This post is just to let you know I am physically fine if mentally absent. Pretty sure this will be short lived so bear with me.

Stay safe and well.  Will see ya soon.

  2. My God Patti, that is frightening. You know, these poor cops out there.. I don't know how they do it. Glad to read you took your advice and stayed safe for the time being, you may not have a lot to write about right now but you still got your wits about you! I sure hope your week ahead is a happy one. 🙂

    1. Doug,
Thank you. These days are mind boggling with the violence all around. We are no longer safe in our cars, stores or are own homes. Sad sad world.

  3. That is truly scary. We do live in a very violent world, and all we can do is take care of our own mental processes and pray for peace. Sending you lots of love and some virtual hugs.

  5. We are living in a horribly violent world. As you saw at the NYY game the horrible people who threw things thankfully were evicted and banned for life. Then 2 basketball games where fans did horrible things to their players as well. Then I watched 60 minutes - big mistake if you don't wish to fall into a depression and the FBI's take on our societies violence. A big orange man made it okay to hit, torment, make fun of, behave badly, etc and now those folks are out of the woodwork. It's scary as hell out here. Please take good care of you and stay inside with locked everything!

    1. Peg,
Think you are right about the orange man. Things really escalated since he had the pulpit.
I saw that episode at the ball game and was shocked. I like Stephen Kahn the ballplayer they were harassing. He made a spectacular play earlier and almost made that one. I hope it wasn't because he is Asian. Really pleased they have banned those creeps for life.

  6. That is so scary, Patti. I can't imagine what it would be like to have neighbors murdered. The violence in our world is as heartbreaking and horrible as it gets. I so wish for life to be different. Please stay safe there and take care.

  7. Oh no! I'm so sorry to hear about the violence. I can only imagine how dreadful it must be for you and those close to these folks. I hope they catch the perpetrator(s) soon.

    Take care and stay safe!

They haven't caught him yet and really hope they do also. They thought it might have been the adult son of two of the people but there was no evidence. Hope it is solved soon.

  8. Terrifying how violent people are now, often for no reason at all. The abundance of firearms makes it even easier to hurt and kill.

You are so right. Now days it is so easy to just kill someone you don't even know.

  9. I agree with the above comment, guns make murder so easy. Say something that offend, even look at a person the wrong way and you can get killed for it. This was clearly not the intention of the second amendment, unless we have become constant militias. A scary thought.

    1. Inger,
Absolutely what we have going on now was not the intention of the 2nd amendment. Now anyone can have a gun and shoot whomever they feel like.

I was all ready doing that for Covid so it is not a stretch now. Still I pray we can someday not fear sending our kids to school, taking a ride in a car, walking into a store or now just sitting in our own homes. We need help.

  11. Thanks for checking in with your BlogBuddies. That's spooky having a crime too close to your house.
I used to live in an area with a 7-11 right in the midst of the quiet neighborhood. The clerk was attacked and police came. The really unnerving part was leaving for work and the news media set up at the end of my street. That surprised me how much that bothered me. Kind of a confirmation of the crime. The clerk survived and the attacker was arrested.
Bloggie Hugz sent to you. Watch something funny on TV to change your mind worrying about it all. Linda in Kansas

    1. Linda,
Those of us in quiet neighborhoods sometimes get reality thrown in our faces. I think the news coverage would have bothered me too. That makes it real.
Thanks for the Bloggie Hugz. Received and appreciated. I have put it behind me, more or less but will feel better when they catch the guy.

It is bad enough when we hear of the violence in other cities but when it gets close to home, it is quite unnerving.

  14. Oh wow... That's scary and sad. I was surprised when we had a drug shooting just up the street within 5 minutes of our house. We heard the gunshots, but thought they were fireworks that someone was annoying us with.
